Dr. Neerja Sharma: did her B.Sc. Ag, M. Sc. (Horticulture) and Ph.D (Horticulture) from Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut, India.She has excellent academic record.She has Joined as Subject Matter Speacialist / Scientist (Horticulture) in the KVK Poonch, SKUAST-Jammuin June, 2007. Presently she is working as a Chief Scientist Horticulture at Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Samba of SKUAST-Jammu.She has handled several externally funded projects as a Co-P.I. She had conducted several training programmes forFarmers and Farm Women, refresher courses for field functionaries, Skill Development Trainings for youth, Vocational training programmes for youth and school dropouts, workshops, awareness programmes on vegetable science, floriculture, fruit science and value addition of horticultural crops. Shehas taught several courses to graduate and post graduate students and guided the studentsalso. She has established various unit regarding Horticulture at KVK, Kathua and KVK, Samba..She has more than 250 Publications to her credit which includes research papers, technical bulletins, articles, extension folders, practical manuals, Success stories and book chapterswhich are published in reputed national/international Journals and Publishing houses. Dr Neerja Sharmahas vast experience inNutrient management, Organic farming in vegetables and Production techniquesof fruits,vegetables and flowers grown in J&K. Her research work has been widely appreciated and referred in national and international research papers. She has delivered more than 500 expert lectures onmost of the aspects of Horticulture in theline departments.He has delivered more than 100radio talks (AIR). She is a certified trainer of Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI). She has Coordinated (200hrs)/35 Days Skill Development Training three times on “Floriculturist open cultivationunder ASCI at KVK, Samba.
