University libraries are service-oriented institutions that rely on effective human resource management to meet the information demands and expectations of their user community. In this study, the QWL of university libraries has been assessed using Modified Walton's eight-point criteria, which include indicators such as job enrichment, job enlargement, and service quality. Dr. A. Naseer currently serves as Assistant Librarian at the Kerala Agricultural University, College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He did his LLB and MLISc from the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. He secured a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Kerala. He is a library and information professional with more than Seventeen
years of rich experience in the domain. He has co-authored a book Organizational Climate in Libraries, and published nearly 17 research papers in journals and conference proceedings. Further, he is the Best Paper Award recipient in the International Conference on CTTL-2019 held at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu. His areas of interest are management of library and information centres, human resources development, orientation and sensitization of e-resources, and intellectual property.
Dr. B. Mini Devi (Bhavani Mini Devi) is currently working as Assistant Professor and Former Head of the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Kerala, India. She is presently the Director of the Centre for Information Literacy Studies at the University of Kerala. The University of Kerala bagged NAAC A++ Accreditation during her departmental headship. She also chaired as the Director of UIT (University Institute of Technology) of the University of Kerala. She serves as the Chairperson, Board of Studies in Library and Information Science, University of Kerala and
member in University of Calicut and Kannur University. She is also a member of the Board of Examiners at the University of Kerala and Calicut University. She widely contributes to the University of Kerala through policy-making, regulation framing, and syllabus up dation as the Chairperson and Academic Council Member. She essays the role of Resource Person in Malaviya Mission
Teacher Training Centre at the University of Kerala and University of Calicut. Dr. B. Mini Devi actively participated in sensitisation and grievance redressal as an Anti-Ragging Committee Member of the University of Kerala. She also conducts innovative Conferences, (Online/Offline), Talks and Exhibitions on Library Science. She chairs as the subject rapporteur at various national
and regional conferences. She also contributes as a career counsellor, subject expert, library mentor and motivational speaker at various universities and colleges. She scored the third rank in MSc. Botany, NET-JRF along with third rank in M.L.I.Sc. from the University of Kerala. She began her career with the prestigious British Library apprenticeship, Ernakulam Model Engineering
College librarianship and 15 years professional experience as librarian. She completed her PhD in “Toxicology Literature: An Informetric Analysis” from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. She specializes in library classification, cataloguing, informetrics, scientometrics, research methodology, statistics data analysis, information literacy, media
literacy, copyright intellectual property rights, library management, KOHA, data mining, machine learning, Google SEO, AI, ChatGPT, and information storage retrieval. She published a wide range of books and book chapters. Alongside 200 co-authored articles, she published over 150 articles in national international journals and conference proceedings. She produced 20+ doctoral PhD thesis, 2 postdoctoral theses and 5 MPhil dissertations under her research guidance and mentorship. She believes in unbiased, student-friendly teaching through the humble educational motto of the University of Kerala— Karmani Vyajyate Prajna (Wisdom manifests into action).
